Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Kitchen Keepsakes: • Email address — collected when you create an account, used solely for authentication and account recovery. • Recipe content — the recipes, text, and photos you add to the app are stored securely in our database so you can access them across devices. • Photos — photos you take or select from your library are stored as part of your recipe collection. We do not access your photo library beyond the photos you explicitly choose to add. • Voice recordings — when you use voice dictation, your audio is processed by your device's built-in speech recognition. We do not store or transmit your voice recordings.

Third-Party Services

To provide certain features, Kitchen Keepsakes sends data to the following third-party services: • Google Firebase — we use Firebase for account authentication and secure data storage. Your email address and recipe data are stored on Firebase servers. Firebase's privacy policy is available at firebase.google.com/support/privacy. • Google Cloud Vision API — when you scan a handwritten recipe card, the photo is sent to Google's Vision API to extract the text. Google's privacy policy applies to this processing. • Anthropic Claude API — recipe text is sent to Anthropic's servers to clean up OCR results, translate recipes, and generate healthy ingredient suggestions. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy. We do not share your data with any other third parties, and none of these services use your data for advertising purposes.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to provide and improve Kitchen Keepsakes: • To authenticate your account and keep your recipes secure • To sync your recipes across your devices • To process recipe card photos into readable text • To provide AI-powered features such as recipe cleanup, translation, and healthy swap suggestions We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties beyond what is described in this policy.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which employs industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Kitchen Keepsakes is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights
